“Symposium Prep” Workshops

Symposium organizers are happy to work with community organizations, educators, and students in making student participation in the symposium possible. We will be coordinating a series of workshops throughought the city designed to prepare students for the symposium.

If you are a high school student, then you can take part in these free workshops provided by the symposium organizers.  Workshops will help students relate the conference experience to college readiness, provide an introduction to Latina/o and Latin American Studies, and offer direct support on research methods, resources, and research writing, and academic presentation.

If your class, school, or organization would like to host a workshop or workshop series, contact Gabriel Higuera at ghiguera@gc.cu
